Smoking Portraits

So I have a new photo class that started last week. It is called "individual projects." It is basically just that. An individual project.

Originally, I was going to do my first project on sureal landscapes using IR film but I have now changed my mind. I am now going to do portraits of people smoking. I would like to use dramatic lighting to help accentuate the smoke and or the expression. I will be using speedlights and possibly gels to do this.

The following image is NOT one for my project, but it can help to give you an idea of what I will be doing.
